he genesis for this map titles was a brief foray we made into Covid-ravaged Europe in 2021 that included an adventuresome cruise on a ship that should never have left port. Lan and I had a few days to spend before joining the ship in Genoa and spent a few days exploring the Ligurian coast of Italy. The border to France was supposed to be closed due to health concerns, but we drove through it and soon arrived in Monaco, a lovely little mini-state that has been formally independent for centuries and is best-known for its casino, the Monte Carlo.
